Dr. Cole Pollard is a chiropractor (human and animal) and acupuncture provider (human). He has always had a passion for health and wellness. A career in chiropractic allows him to share that passion with others. He finds the intricacies and complexities of the human body to be quite fascinating, which lead him to utilize a more holistic approach when it comes to patient care. Dr. Cole assesses not only the area of concern but also the root cause of the complaint, which can be beneficial for both short-term and long-term recovery. He combines the use of neurofunctional assessment procedures with traditional orthopedic testing to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions from head-to-toe. He believes the perfect treatment plan includes a mixture of manual therapy, exercise/rehabilitation, patient education, doctor-patient communication, and interprofessional collaboration when necessary.
Dr. Cole attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, where he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. From there, he moved to Toronto, where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Cole has additional training in neurofunctional acupuncture, neurofunctional assessment, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, and animal chiropractic.
The addition of animal chiropractic has allowed Dr. Cole to extend his services to the furrier members of the family. He has been a pet owner his entire life, so it was a natural progression in his career to enter the world of animal care. He couldn’t be happier to serve the Guelph community and is excited to be a part of the iON Health + Performance team!
